Sunday Visual Diary #10 | Maranoni Jewellery
Lorena Maranon is a cuban-born artist (no wonder her love of vivid colourful threads!), that uses traditional quilt and embroidery techniques in a modern design aspect to create one of a kind home goods, such as quilts and patchwork or embroidered textiles. Everything is made by hand, using recycled fabrics and threads, and with an interest towards a continued exploration, promotion and growth of modern textile and fibre arts.
Today, i wanted to show you mostly her embroidered jewellery and some of her embroidered artistic textiles, where she improvises with such an original and unique way, that could not have passed my attention! Maranoni jewellery has adapted a contemporary approach to embroidery, with geometric and colourful shapes and aesthetic result, enjoy!
